Research Notes

Working notes on AI visibility, recommendation, measurement, grounding and the conditions under which technology can make more room for a good life.

These are working positions, not finished verdicts. Observations, hypotheses and questions are kept distinct on purpose.

From Visibility to Recommendation, The Role of Context Fit

Being found, mentioned, recommended and made the first choice are different outcomes. The step between them is often not visibility, but evidence of fit.

100,000 Questions, What AI Variability Means for Measurement

One screenshot records one answer. It does not describe the full behaviour of a system, a model or a category.

Cited by Design, Grounding Pages and Verifiable Brand Facts

A grounding page is not a promise of citations. It is a factual layer designed to make important claims clearer, easier to check and harder to confuse.

The Invisible Part of the Funnel, AI Influence Beyond Referral Traffic

Some research and shortlisting may happen before a person visits the website. The later visit can look direct, branded or unremarkable in analytics.

The Time We Save, Where Does It Go?

AI can make individual tasks faster. But what happens to the time we save? More versions, more checking, higher expectations: perhaps efficiency only becomes freedom when we consciously decide what not to fill the space with.

Faster Tools, Endless Wants

Schopenhauer’s reflections on desire raise a contemporary question: if AI helps us pursue more of what we want, does it also help us reach a point of enough? A present-day reading of his philosophy, not a claim that he anticipated AI.

What Counts as Progress?

More output in less time is one measure of progress. More autonomy, attention and leisure might be others. I’m interested in the conditions under which technological productivity becomes a better life, and who gets to decide how the gains are used.
